Information You Submit
Terms Entered in Search Tools
When a visitor enters a name, place, or other query in a search tool, that query passes to the third-party provider operating the tool. West Baton Rouge Parish Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s policy controls its handling of the submitted query.
Messages Sent to Us
If a visitor sends an email or contact-form message, we retain the message and related contact details as needed to answer. We do not disclose that correspondence outside the organization unless the law requires us to do so.
Automatic Technical Data
Routine server, analytics, and advertising technologies may record basic technical information when a page loads. That data can include:
- The visitor’s Internet Protocol address
- Browser name and version
- Device category and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring website, when one is supplied
- Date and time stamps for visits
Cookie Controls
Cookies help measure how people move through the site and may support advertising functions. A browser can reject or remove cookies. Blocking them may cause some site or partner features to work differently.
How Information Is Used
Collected information is used only for ordinary site operations and related services. Uses may include:
- Operating the site and maintaining reasonable performance
- Sending a search request to the selected partner service
- Understanding which pages help visitors most
- Finding, diagnosing, and correcting technical faults
- Displaying advertising that may reflect a visitor’s interests
Other Sites and Services
Links may lead to West Baton Rouge Parish offices, Louisiana corrections resources, public-record portals, federal locators, and third-party search tools. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination’s privacy policy and terms govern its collection and use of data.
Some advertising providers may use their own technology to associate activity across multiple websites for interest-based advertising. That processing occurs on the provider’s systems, not on systems controlled by West Baton Rouge Parish Released Inmates.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Data may still be disclosed or transmitted in limited settings to:
- Search partners that must process a visitor’s query
- Analytics providers measuring use and performance
- Advertising networks serving or measuring ads
- Law-enforcement or government authorities acting under a valid legal order
Reasonable Security Measures
We use standard safeguards suited to a public website and take reasonable steps to reduce unauthorized access. No internet service, network, or storage method is fully secure. We therefore cannot promise that a breach or other security failure will never occur.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contact Us page to request its deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and reasonable identity verification, a visitor may ask to:
- Receive a copy of personal data we hold
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Delete personal information where required or permitted
- Opt out of certain forms of processing
